IMD Issues Heatwave Alert for Multiple Regions on June 2, 2024

On June 2, 2024, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave alert for multiple regions. Isolated pockets in Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, Jammu division, Himachal Pradesh, West Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha are likely to experience severe heatwave conditions.
“Heatwave conditions very likely in isolated pockets of Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, Jammu division, Himachal Pradesh, West Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha on 02nd June, 2024,” stated the IMD.
