Hanoi police arrested a South Korean man on Saturday to investigate him for the murder of a woman at a hotel.

Investigation found Lee Chanju, 44, had killed a South Korean woman during a conflict at the Lotte Hotel Hanoi in Ba Dinh District on Thursday after she refused to have sex.
At 1 p.m. on Thursday, Lee and the woman came to the hotel. Lee wanted to have sex with her, but the woman did not agree. After a verbal fight that lasted 10 minutes, Lee strangled the woman and used a pillow to suffocate her until she died, police said.
Lee ran away from the room and took the elevator to the 65th floor, wanting to “commit suicide”, but he was stopped by security guards. The police then apprehended him.
An investigation is ongoing.
