PM Modi Announces Financial Aid for Cyclone Remal Victims in Northeastern States
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for the next of kin of those who lost their lives due to natural disasters in the aftermath of Cyclone Remal. The affected regions include Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura, and West Bengal.
In addition to the aid for the families of the deceased, PM Modi stated that those injured in the disasters will receive Rs. 50,000 each. This financial assistance aims to support the affected families and individuals during these challenging times.
Cyclone Remal has caused significant devastation across these northeastern states, leading to loss of life and extensive damage. The government’s response includes immediate financial relief to help mitigate the impact on the affected populations.
