Water shortage in Delhi, people yearning for water, see pictures

The capital of the country, Delhi, is very hot. The temperature on Friday touched 45.8 degrees Celsius, 6 degrees above normal. Only two days of rain were recorded in the capital in May, the IMD said. This is the lowest in the last 10 years. The IMD issued a 'yellow alert' on Saturday. Along with the heat of the sun, the people of Delhi are also facing shortage of water. People are struggling for drinking water in many parts of Delhi. People were waiting in long queues to fill tankers with water. People can be seen waiting for tankers in many parts of the capital. According to these people, they have to stand in the queue since four in the morning to fill water. People expressed concern that it was difficult to get to the tanker due to the crowd. Many times water is not available. If this happens, water will have to be purchased. Firstly, fire rains from the sky and secondly one has to stand in long queues for water. A woman standing in line for water said that she has to fight like this every day for drinking water. Getting a bucket of water is a huge struggle between the fire that rains down from the sky and the fighting. Many times even water is not available. The woman said thousands of people were waiting in line. One has to stand in line for three to four hours. Even then water is not available many times. Many people are taking help of social media to get rid of water problems. They are asking the government for help.
