Bike News Desk,Hero MotoCorp has launched the new Splendor+ XTEC 2.0 variant of its most powerful Splendor bike in India. The ex-showroom price of this bike in Delhi has been kept at Rs 82,911. This model has been prepared to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Hero's evergreen commuter bike.
Hero Splendor+ XTEC 2.0: Engine and SpecificationsPowering the Hero Splendor is an air-cooled, 97.2cc, sloper engine like the regular model, which generates 8.02 hp power at 8,000rpm and 8.05Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. This engine is mated to a 4-speed gearbox, which is standard for a 100cc commuter bike. The company claims that the fuel efficiency of this engine is 73kmpl. For which Hero's i3s start-stop system has been used in it. To differentiate this bike from the rest of the lineup, it has been given a stealthy dual-tone color scheme. On closer inspection, the indicator housing also looks different in shape from the trademark square shape found on other Splendor models. Apart from this, the Splendor + XTEC 2.0 has the same simple and reliable bike that has proved to be so successful in our country.
Price and competitionBeing an XTEC model, the bike comes equipped with a Bluetooth-enabled digital display, which means you can instantly receive call and message alerts on the display and also has a USB charging port. Priced at Rs 82,911, the Hero Splendor+ XTEC 2.0 is priced Rs 3,000 more than the standard XTEC. In the market, the bike competes with the Honda Shine 100 (Rs 64,900) and the Bajaj Platina 100 (Rs 67,808).
