Lok Sabha Election Phase 7 Voting: 37.39 percent voting has taken place in Uttar Pradesh so far, lowest voting in Gorakhpur
Lok Sabha Election Phase 7 Voting. In the seventh and final phase of the Lok Sabha elections, voting is going on in 57 seats of eight states and union territories since 7 am. Voting is also going on in 13 Lok Sabha seats of Uttar Pradesh. 144 candidates including PM Narendra Modi are in the fray in these seats. In Uttar Pradesh, 49.31 percent voting has taken place till 1 pm. The lowest voting was 37.39 percent in Gorakhpur. The highest voting was 42.29 percent in Maharajganj.

PM Modi is contesting for the third time from Varanasi
Out of the 13 Lok Sabha seats, 11 are general category seats and 2 are reserved. The 13 Lok Sabha constituencies of this phase are Maharajganj, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Deoria, Bansgaon (SC), Ghosi, Salempur, Ballia, Ghazipur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Mirzapur, Robertsganj (SC). All eyes are on the decisive battle in the stronghold of Modi-Yogi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is contesting for the third time from UP's most important Varanasi Lok Sabha seat.

On the other hand, BJP has given ticket to actor and current MP Ravi Kishan from the famous seat of Gorakhpur. He is pitted against SP leader Kajal Nishad. Union Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey is in the fray with the intention of scoring a hat trick from Chandauli seat. Union Minister Anupriya Patel, who has been MP from Mirzapur twice, is pitted against SP's Ramesh Bind. The battle of Ghazipur is also interesting. SP has given ticket to Mukhtar Ansari's elder brother Afzal Ansari from here. Afzal had won this seat on BSP ticket in the last election.
Ghosi seat has the highest number of candidates at 28
In the final phase, the maximum number of 28 candidates are in Ghosi seat while the minimum number of 7 candidates are in Varanasi and Deoria. There are 8 candidates each in Maharajganj and Bansgaon, 9 each in Kushinagar and Salempur, 10 each in Ghazipur, Mirzapur and Chandauli, 12 in Robertsganj and 13 each in Gorakhpur and Ballia seats. The fate of these candidates will be decided by 2,50,56,877 voters. Among them, 1,33,10,897 are men, 1,17,44,922 are women and 1058 are third gender.
