The Supreme Court refused to hear a plea seeking re-polling in 45 polling booths in Bihar's Mungar Lok Sabha constituency. In the petition, a re-election to the Munger Lok Sabha constituency was demanded. This petition was filed by RJD candidate Kumari Anitha. The case came up for hearing in the Supreme Court today. The court said why you didn't go to high court first. All High Courts of the country are open. Subsequently, the petitioner sought permission from the court to withdraw the petition. The court rejected the petition and granted leave to withdraw. RJD candidate Kumari Anitha had filed a petition in the Supreme Court alleging massive irregularities in Mungar Lok Sabha in Bihar during the Lok Sabha elections. He alleged that during the polling in 45 polling booths, JD(U) workers colluded with polling officials and committed massive fraud. The petition stated that when he objected to this, he was also assaulted. An FIR has been registered in this regard on May 13. Request for dismissal of the election officer: The petition said that when the district election officer was informed about the incident, he promised to take action but no action was taken. Kumari Anitha had filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking an order to remove the District Election Officer from all administrative duties. Along with this, the Supreme Court should direct the Election Commission to conduct re-polling in 45 booths in Munger to ensure free and fair polling.
