BJP will get more seats than last election, predicts election strategist Prashant Kishor

I have been saying for the last few weeks that the BJP-led NDA will form the government. The BJP is likely to win the same number of seats as it did in 2019 (303 seats) or slightly more. We have to see the basis of this election. If there is a big opposition against the BJP rule, against the BJP leaders, then people will vote against the ruling party and expect a change.

But we do not get to hear the anger of the people against the central government and BJP leaders including Prime Minister Modi on a nationwide level. People's disappointments and desires may not have been fulfilled. But we cannot hear the nationwide anger. There is no wave of protest and discontent against the central government. We have not heard of widespread anger among the people to overturn the election result. If people feel that our situation will improve if this person comes to power, then we cannot hear a single sentence that it would be better if senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi comes.

His supporters may say that Rahul Gandhi can come to power. But, I am talking about a nationwide perspective. There is no widespread anger against the ruling party or any vocal opposition to challenge it. So I don't think there will be much change in the number of seats the ruling party gets. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the BJP to another victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. I think the BJP will come back to power under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. Prashant Kishor said this. After this, questions were also raised on 370 seats of BJP and more than 400 seats of National Democratic Alliance.

Prashant Kishor responded by saying, if the election results are declared with fewer seats than the BJP has estimated, they will not say 'we will not form the government'. They will only see whether they get the required majority seats (272 MPs required for majority) or not. Political upheaval can happen in the campaign. But I don't see any risk to prevent the BJP from coming back to power. It looks like the National Democratic Alliance will form the government again.
