Rituparna Sengupta: The Enforcement Directorate has issued summons to actress Rituparna Sengupta in the ration scam case in West Bengal. Almost five years after questioning him in the Rose Valley fund scam case, the ED has summoned him again. According to ED sources, the actress has been called to the ED office on June 5. According to initial reports, the ED has summoned the actress for questioning based on information about bank transactions. Earlier in July 2019, actress Rituparna Sengupta was questioned by the investigating agency ED in the Roswali case. ED sources said that Rituparna is currently in the US. He was sent a summons via email on Wednesday. However, there has been no response from Rituparna regarding the ED notice. In the ration scam case, the ED has already arrested some leaders from the ruling party, including former state food minister Jyotibriya Mallick, former Bongan municipality chairman Shankar Adhia, ration trader Bakibur Rahman and his close associates. On January 5, ED officials who had visited the house of Sandeshkali-based Trinamool leader Shah Jahan Sheikh during an investigation into the ration scam were attacked.
