Bihar: Old man shot dead in pre-election firing in Nalanda
Bihar: Nalanda: Gunshots are heard amid election campaigning in Bihar's Nalanda. An old man who had returned home was fearlessly fired at by miscreants. As a result, he died on the spot. After the incident, all the suspects fled from the spot. The case pertains to Hudari village under Chiksaura police station limits. While the district administration is gearing up to hold the Lok Sabha elections on June 1 in a safe environment, on the other hand, the murder incident has given a public challenge to the police by the assailants. In connection with the incident, Ramji Bind, 60-year-old son of Sattu Bind, a resident of Hudari village, was reportedly returning home through the footpath. Then, unknown persons on a bike chased the old man. When the bikers approached him, they opened fire. The man died on the spot in the shooting. The accused shot Ramji Pind three times in the back. The incident has created a sensation in the area. When Hilsa DSP Sumit Kumar reached the spot, the old man was shot three times by the assailants and he died on the spot. The family alleged that he was killed in a land dispute.
