Be prepared for scorching heat, no signs of relief even in June, forecast by Meteorological Department – ..

Weather News : People of North-West and Central India have been facing severe heat for the last few weeks, according to the weather department forecast, there is no possibility of relief even in the month of June. Heat wave prevailed for five to seven days in Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab in May. During this period, the temperature was 44 to 48 degree Celsius. The weather department estimates that this year too, heat wave will prevail in these areas for four to six days in June.
The Meteorological Department said that heatwaves lasted for nine to twelve days in Gujarat and Rajasthan. During this period, the temperature in both states remained between 45 and 50 degrees Celsius. On Wednesday, the temperature in Delhi crossed 52 degrees. Despite the forecast of a normal monsoon, there is no relief from this heat even in the month of June.
The number of heat wave days will increase in the month of June. But the moist winds coming from the Arabian Sea and Western disturbances can bring some relief. Due to this, storms can occur in North-West India and the western part of the Himalayas. Usually, heat wave blows for two to three days in the month of June, but this year it is expected to blow for four to six days.
According to the weather forecast, it will be a hot summer experience due to various factors. These factors include lack of rainfall in north-western Rajasthan and Gujarat, strong and dry and hot winds and opposite direction of winds.
The temperature in Phalodi, Rajasthan has reached 50 degrees. This is the highest temperature recorded in the state since June 1, 2019. Assam, Himachal Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh are also experiencing severe heat. Apart from this, due to increased evaporation due to increasing summer days, there is now barely 24 percent water left in 150 major reservoirs of the country. Due to this, water shortage has arisen in many states. Hydroelectric power generation has also been affected due to the decrease in the amount of water.
