Pune hit and run case: Two doctors and lab staff suspended for altering blood samples
The government has taken a big step in the Pune hit and run case. Arrested Sassoon Hospital doctor Srihari Halnor, Dr Ajay Tawde and laboratory employee Atul Ghat Kamble have been suspended. He is accused of helping to alter the blood sample. The government immediately took this step following the report of the medical board. The three accused are currently in the custody of the Crime Branch. There was a telephonic conversation between Dr. Ajay and the boy's father, Vishal Aggarwal, in which an agreement was struck between them. Dr. Ajay told Dr. Srihari Halner. Both then exchanged blood samples. Despite CCTV footage in the case, the accused was not under the influence of alcohol, the report said. On the other hand, Atul Kamble went to Agarwal's house and took Rs.3 lakh which he had taken in the car. Action has also been taken against the dean of the government hospital who suspended 3 people associated with the hospital. Sassoon Hospital Dean Vinayak Kale has been sent on compulsory leave. Dr. Chandrakant Muske has been given additional charge. A suspension order has been issued against Professor Ajay Tawde of the Department of Forensic Medicine and Medical Officer Hulner of Sassoon Hospital on the recommendation of the Maharashtra Commissioner of Medical Education. Regarding this, Minister of Medical Education Hasan Mushriab said: The report of the three-member committee appointed to investigate the allegations has been received by the state government. Based on that, both doctors have been suspended and an order has been issued. The police had told the court that a bribe was taken to change the girl's blood sample when they sought custody of Tawde. Investigation revealed that the sample had been altered. Accused's father spoke to Tawde 14 times on phone. The whole thing is that on May 18, a small guy hit two people in a Porsche. A boy and a girl died in this accident due to over speeding. Following this, the juvenile court also granted bail to the boy. His bail was later canceled and he was sent to remand home. His father and other accused were arrested for hiding evidence and misleading the police. The police are actively investigating from all angles.
