Rajkot fire incident: Dawal Thakkar, the main accused caught from Rajasthan, has been absconding since the incident.

Police have arrested Thaval Thakkar, the main accused in the fire incident at Rajkot gaming zone in Gujarat. The incident took place on Abu Road in Rajasthan. Thakkar absconded after a fire broke out in the sports zone. A total of 27 people died in the fire at the gaming zone, most of them children. Police have already arrested three persons after this incident. This includes the main accused's partner Rahul Rathore. After the fire incident at the gaming zone, the Rajkot taluk police have booked Dawal Corporation owner Dawal Thakkar and Raceway Enterprise partners Ashok Singh Jadeja, Girit Singh Jadeja, Prakash Chand Hiran, Yuvraj Singh Solanki and Rahul Rathore in the case. The police arrested Solanki and Nitin on Sunday. A 60-meter-long building in the gaming zone caught fire on Saturday evening. In no time, the fire spread throughout the area. According to the FIR registered with the police, the accused persons had constructed a structure approximately two-three storeys high, 50 meters wide and 60 meters long using sheet metal fabrication to create the play zone. Operators don't even have fire extinguishers to put out fires in an emergency. Apart from this, the gaming zone has not received NOC from the local fire department. DNA tests were conducted to identify the bodies of those who died in the incident. In this case, some of the corpses were identified through DNA testing. Gujarat Minister of State for Home Affairs Harsh Shanghvi said on Monday that DNA tests have identified the nine bodies recovered from the TRP Game Zone in Rajkot. These bodies were burnt beyond recognition. Transfer of several officials After the fire incident, the government transferred the city police commissioner, two more IPS officers and the municipal commissioner. Commissioner of Police Raju Bhargava, Additional Commissioner of Police Vidhi Chaudhary and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone-2) Sudhir Kumar Desai have been transferred without post. At the same time, Rajkot Municipal Commissioner and IAS officer Anand Patel was also transferred.
