Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has filed a new petition in the Supreme Court seeking extension of his interim bail by 7 days. Kejriwal has sought a few more days in his new petition citing health reasons.

Aam Aadmi Party said on Monday that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has filed a petition in the Supreme Court requesting to extend his interim bail by 7 days. AAP said that Kejriwal has to undergo PET-CT scan and other tests, so he has asked for 7 more days to get the tests done.
The petition filed by Kejriwal states that after his arrest, the Chief Minister lost 7 kg of weight. His ketone level is very high. He may have symptoms of some serious disease. Doctors of Max Hospital have examined him. After examining CM Kejriwal, the doctors have said that he needs to undergo PET-CT scan and several tests.
The Supreme Court granted interim bail on June 10
It is noteworthy that on May 10, a bench of Supreme Court Justice Sanjeev Khanna and Justice Dipankar Dutta had granted interim bail to Kejriwal, who is lodged in Tihar Jail, till June 1 in the money laundering case related to the alleged liquor policy scam. The Supreme Court had ordered him to surrender again in Tihar Jail on June 2. While granting interim bail, the court had imposed several conditions on Kejriwal, including a ban on visiting the Chief Minister's office.
While giving relief to Chief Minister Kejriwal in the midst of the Lok Sabha election campaign, the bench had said that the power to grant interim bail is usually used in many cases. Interim bail is granted on the basis of facts of each case. This case is not an exception.
