Sixth phase of voting continues across the country, PM Modi made a special appeal to the public
New Delhi. Voting for the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024 is currently underway. Voting began at 7 am today and will continue till 6 pm. This phase includes all seven seats in the national capital Delhi out of a total of 58 parliamentary constituencies. In this crucial phase, 889 candidates are in the fray for a seat in Parliament across eight states and union territories. A total of 1.14 lakh polling stations have been set up for over 11.13 crore registered voters. The constituency includes 5.8 crore men, 5.29 crore women and 5,120 third gender voters. Additionally, there are over 893,000 voters above the age of 85, including 23,659 voters over 100 years of age. Arrangements have also been made for 958,000 Divyang voters to vote from home. The states included in this phase include 14 seats in Uttar Pradesh, 10 in Haryana, eight seats each in West Bengal and Bihar, six seats in Odisha, four seats in Jharkhand and one seat in Jammu and Kashmir.
