4 people died in a fire in a chemical factory in Thane district of Maharashtra. 48 others suffered burns. The explosion took place in the boiler of 'Amber Chemical Company' located in Zone-II of Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) Dombivali, the official said. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who has suspended 8 people in connection with the Dombivali blast incident, is saddened by the boiler explosion at Amuthan Chemical Company in Dombivali MITC. 8 people have been suspended. Arrangements have been made to treat the injured and more ambulances have been kept ready. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that NDRF, SDRF and TDRF are working to bring the fire under control. Efforts are being made to prevent the fire from spreading further. An eyewitness said the blast was heard up to a kilometer away. He said windows of nearby buildings were cracked due to the blast.
