Father of minor accused in Pune Porsche car accident case arrested, adult trial will be conducted on the boy too

New Delhi. Taking major action in the Porsche car accident case in Pune, the police today arrested Vishal Aggarwal, father of the accused minor boy. On the other hand, Maharashtra Police has sought permission from the High Court to prosecute the accused minor like an adult accused. Earlier, the lower court had rejected this demand of Maharashtra Police, after which it had to approach the High Court. The reason given for arresting the accused's father was that the father allowed his son to drive the car despite knowing that he did not have a valid driving license and was a drinker.

Let us tell you that this incident happened late on Sunday night when a drunken minor driving a Porsche car hit a motorcycle in which the young man and the girl riding the bike were killed. After this, the minor was taken into custody and presented before the Juvenile Justice Board from where the minor got bail after a few hours. The court also ordered the minor to work with the traffic police for 15 days and write a 300-word essay on the impact and solutions to road accidents.

On the other hand, after the accused got bail, Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar said that this is a serious case and we have sought permission from the court to prosecute the minor accused as adults. After this incident, a video of the accused minor also surfaced in which he can be seen drinking alcohol in a bar. Police say that action is being taken under the Juvenile Justice Act against the father of the accused and the bar that served liquor to the minor. In this case, the family members of the deceased also expressed their strong displeasure, terming the condition of bail given to the accused by the court and the condition of writing an essay ridiculous.
