For this, made-in-India products will be launched under the Wyzr brand. Ambani’s company can launch products like LED bulb, TV, AC, fridge, washing machine etc. in the coming days under this scheme.
Reliance will create a stir in new sector
Last year itself, Reliance Consumer had launched Made for India consumer goods brand ‘Independence’. Under this brand, Reliance launched cheap food products like flour, rice, pulses in the market. Now the company is preparing to enter the consumer electronics and home appliance business like cheap AC, fridge, TV. According to the report, Reliance Industries plans to end the dominance of foreign companies in the consumer electronics and home appliance segments. In segments like AC, fridge, TV, brands like LG, Samsung, Whirlpool, Haier, Daikin have captured the market. Mukesh Ambani wants to end this dominance.
Reliance Retail will design these products internally and then customize them and can distribute the products. However, no official information has been given by the company yet. The market of AC in India is very big, from small brands to many big and famous brands are present here. This includes brand names like O’general, carrier, Samsung, LG and Blue Star. However, the company’s strategy will be revealed only once Reliance’s ACs are launched in the Indian market.
