Congress accused BJP
The Congress has alleged that the BJP has shared a video on its social media in which members of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes are allegedly being threatened for not voting for a particular candidate. Congress has filed a complaint with the Election Commission against BJP President JP Nadda, party’s social media in-charge Amit Malviya and Karnataka BJP President BY Vijayendra regarding the video. Congress has alleged that BJP has misrepresented Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah by sharing the animated video.
Controversy increased regarding SC-ST
The Congress in its complaint has claimed that the BJP has threatened members of the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe not to vote for a particular candidate. Also, videos have been shared using animated videos of Rahul Gandhi and Siddaramaiah to show that the Congress Party is favoring a particular religion and oppressing members of the SC/ST and OBC communities, which violates the ethics. There is a violation of the code.
