Cricket: India’s dominance in Test ends, number 1 crown retained in ODI and T20
The Australian team has once again given a big blow to the Indian team. Australia, winner of the last World Test Championship, has overtaken India to reach the No. 1 spot in the ICC Test rankings. Last year, Australia defeated India by a margin of 209 runs in the WTC final. With this victory, Australia’s rating improved and the team reached first place with 124 points. The second placed Indian team has 120 points. There is a difference of four points between the two teams. England’s team is at third place and South Africa’s team is at fourth place. All other teams have rating points below 100. Even though the Indian team may have suffered a loss in the Test rankings, India is still at number one in the limited overs format. In ODI, India is at first place with 122 points and Australia is at second place with 116 points. South Africa is at third place and Pakistan is at fourth place. India still holds the top position in T20 with 264 rating points. In this format, Australia is at second place with 257 points and England is at third place with 252 points. Australia are first in Tests and second in both limited overs formats
