Big relief in inflation! LPG cylinder becomes cheaper, price reduced by Rs 5
The month of May has started with some relief news and that relief is on the inflation front. Actually, oil marketing companies have reduced the prices of LPG cylinders for the second consecutive month. However, this time the price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinder has also been reduced. During the ongoing Lok Sabha elections in the country, cylinder prices have reduced by Rs 19-20 from Delhi to Mumbai. The prices of the new cylinders have been updated on the IOCL website from May 1, 2024.
According to the website of oil marketing company Indian Oil, the price of 9 kg commercial gas cylinder in the capital Delhi has decreased by Rs 19 (Delhi LPG price) to Rs 1745.50 from May 1. Similarly, the price of commercial LPG cylinder in Mumbai has decreased from Rs 1717.50 to Rs 1698.50. In Chennai also this cylinder has become cheaper by Rs 19 and its price has come down from Rs 1930 to Rs 1911.
However, the price of commercial cylinder in Kolkata has reduced by Re 1 i.e. Rs 20 and this cylinder which was sold for Rs 1879 till now has now become priced at Rs 1859 here.
Earlier, on the first day of the new financial year i.e. 1 April 2024, oil marketing companies had given great relief to consumers by cutting the price of commercial LPG cylinders. Meanwhile, there was a cut of Rs 30-32 in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai.
It is noteworthy that gas cylinders are used for commercial purposes in hotels or restaurants. In such a situation, eating out can become cheaper due to its lower price. At the same time, there has been no change in the prices of 14.2 kg LPG cylinder used in domestic kitchens this time too.
