Dry weather will continue in Bengaluru till May 5, some relief from heat in eastern India

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that there will be no respite from the heat wave conditions in eastern India till May 1 and in the south peninsular region for the next five days. The weather office has also extended red alert for Odisha, Bihar, West Bengal and Rayalaseema.

However, the IMD said heavy rains and thunderstorms are likely to continue over Northeast India during the next five days. These states include Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and others.
