Good news for those studying in Canada! Major condition of language test removed from applicants under PNP

There is good news for those studying in Canada. Now students going to Canada will not have to take language test. Canada has announced the removal of language testing requirements for certain categories. (PNP) simplifies the immigration process for applicants. Language tests are no longer mandatory for these applications.

The decision is expected to remove barriers for aspiring immigrants and facilitate a smooth transition into Canadian society. International students aiming for Express Entry still need to demonstrate English or French proficiency by taking an approved language test and achieving the mandatory minimum score for the program they are applying for. These test results are included when creating an Express Entry profile.

The new policy streamlines the process for PNP applicants outside Express Entry. This means that they are no longer required to take and submit a language test as part of their application package. It is important to remember that PNP applicants enrolled under the Express Entry stream will still be required to undergo the language test. Their valid test scores must be reflected in their Express Entry profile. However, for these applicants, the test results are verified electronically with the testing institute, eliminating the need to upload a separate copy of their application.

To ensure the validity of the language proficiency assessment, applicants must have test results from approved testing agencies. These include: the International English Language Testing System (IELTS General Training) and the Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP-General).

This policy amendment is an important step in Canada’s efforts to attract skilled individuals and promote diversity. Overall, this update simplifies the application process for PNP Non-Express Entry candidates, potentially speeding up processing times and making Canadian immigration more accessible.
