Lok Sabha Elections: A total of 101 candidates filed 154 nominations on eight seats in Madhya Pradesh in the fourth phase

According to the election program of Lok Sabha Elections-2024, the process of filing nomination papers for eight parliamentary constituencies of Madhya Pradesh in the fourth phase was completed on Thursday. On the last day of the nomination process for the fourth phase, 43 candidates in Madhya Pradesh submitted 71 nomination papers. Thus, in the fourth phase, 154 nomination papers have been filed by a total of 101 candidates in Madhya Pradesh. This information was given by the state’s Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan.

He said that in the fourth phase, the process of nomination in eight parliamentary constituencies of the state had started on April 18. Till the last day of filing of nomination, 14 nomination papers were submitted by nine candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 21 Dewas (SC), 19 nomination papers were submitted by 11 candidates in No. 22 Ujjain (SC), 18 nomination papers were submitted by 10 candidates in No. 23 Mandsaur. Nomination papers, serial number-24, 24 nomination papers by 15 candidates in Ratlam (ST), serial number-25, 15 nomination papers by 10 candidates in Dhar (ST), serial number-26, 33 nomination papers by 26 candidates in Indore, serial number-26. In number-27 Khargone (ST), nine nomination papers were filed by six candidates and in number-28 Khandwa, 22 nomination papers were filed by 14 candidates.

Chief Electoral Officer Rajan said that the affidavits and other information of the candidates who have filed nomination papers can be seen on the link of the Election Commission of India website He informed that the nomination papers will be scrutinized on Friday, April 26. Candidates who have filled the nomination papers will be able to withdraw their names till Monday, April 29. Voting for the fourth phase will take place on Monday, May 13. Counting of votes in all phases will take place on Tuesday, June 4.
