New Delhi. In view of the rising temperature in the capital, the Directorate of Education of Delhi Government has issued guidelines for school students.

The directorate said that during the summer season, the day temperature in Delhi exceeds 40 degrees Celsius. Which is harmful for the health of children and teenagers studying in schools. Rising temperatures in NCR have led to increased incidence of heat-related illnesses, including exhaustion, dehydration, diarrhea and vomiting among people.

Avoid organizing prayer meetings in the afternoon

The directorate said that some steps need to be taken to protect students from these heat-related diseases during summer. The directorate has directed the principals of all schools to make children aware about taking appropriate measures to protect themselves from the heat.

The directorate directed all schools operating in the afternoon shift to avoid prayer meetings of students in schools. Also ensure availability of drinking water for students in schools.

He said that since the heat is high, students should be given breaks to drink water during classes. Also, make students aware about covering their heads with umbrella, cap, towel or any other thing if they come in contact with direct sunlight while coming to school.

The directorate said any case of heat-related illness should be reported to the nearest hospital. The Directorate has requested all district and regional Deputy Education Directors to ensure its compliance.
