Hair Care: Mehndi will increase the shine of hair, just do not make these mistakes
When it comes to beauty, it is important to take care of both skin and hair. Many people often face hair and skin related problems due to various reasons. In such a situation, they use different types of beauty products available in the market or take the help of home remedies. One of the most common home remedies for hair is applying henna, especially to enhance the shine of hair and cover gray hair.
However, some people mix different ingredients while applying mehendi. Mixing these things in henna or applying henna in the wrong way can cause damage to your hair. Here are some mistakes you should avoid while applying henna to your hair:
Avoid adding lemon or curd.
Some people add lemon juice to the henna mixture, but this is not recommended because lemon juice is acidic, which can make your hair dry. Similarly, mixing curd with mehendi may also not give the desired results.
Soak the mehendi for sufficient time
For best results, soak the henna for at least 8 to 12 hours before applying it to your hair. If you soak it for less time then you will not be able to get the desired color. You can soak henna overnight and use it the next day.
Do not use plastic containers.
People often use plastic containers while preparing henna paste. It is better to use stainless steel or iron containers as plastic may release more dye. Use a spatula to mix it.
Use infused water instead of normal water.
Most people use normal water to prepare henna paste, but it does not give the desired color. Instead, you can use coffee or tea water to prepare the mehendi mixture. Make sure to cool the water before using.
