Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced the successful completion of the rescue operation on Sunday evening. Officials said that 607 search and rescue personnel and 10 helicopters have been deployed in this rescue operation. According to him, Turkey’s emergency response agency AFAD, coast guard teams, fire brigades and mountain rescue teams from different parts of the country were also involved in the operation. The accident happened at about 5:30 pm on Sunday evening at the Tünkattepe cable car outside Antalya city.

Rescue operation has been conducted with the help of 10 helicopters.

People traveling in the cable car were rescued with the help of 10 helicopters. After several hours of rescue operation, the people hanging in the air were brought down. According to news agency ‘Anadolu’, the person who lost his life in the accident has been identified as a 54-year-old Turkish citizen. According to the latest information, the injured include six Turkish and one Kyrgyz citizen. Which also includes two children. He was rescued by a Coast Guard helicopter.
