The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the organization that organizes these awards, has released the schedule of the 97th Academy Awards to be held in 2025.
When will the Oscars be held in 2025?
According to the information given by the Academy, the 2025 awards ceremony will be held on March 2 (Sunday) at 7 pm in Los Angeles. In America it will be telecast live on ABC. Will be done on the channel.

Oscar awards short list to be announced on December 17
The eligibility period for films will end on December 31, meaning films released after that will not be included in the process.
Voting for nominations will begin on January 9, 2025, and continue until January 12.
Nominations for the 97th Academy Awards will be announced on January 17, 2025.
There will be a luncheon for filmmakers and actors who have received Oscar nominations on February 10, 2025.
Oscar Award winners will be announced on March 2, 2025
Oscar awards are given every year in 23 categories. Last year the Academy had announced the addition of a new category for casting. However, this category will be effective at the 98th Academy Awards and films released in 2025 will be eligible.
Oppenheimer’s escape in 2024
The 96th Academy Awards were held on 10 March 2024. This time Christopher Nolan’s film Oppenheimer created a stir in the festival. Christopher won the Oscar for Best Director while Cillian Murphy won the award for Best Actor. This was the first Oscar for both of them.
