Pakistan News: 15 people drown, four missing after boat capsizes in Indus River

Marjan Eid turned into mourning in the most restive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of neighboring country Pakistan. A tragic accident took place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday. The accident occurred when the boat capsized in the Indus river. At least 15 people drowned in the accident when the boat capsized. After the accident, a large number of people from the surrounding areas reached the river. Officials involved in the rescue operation said that the accident took place in Kund Park area of ​​Nowshera district, where a large number of people had gathered to celebrate Eid.

Search for people continues in Indus River

Regarding the boat accident in the Indus River, officials said that they have rescued 11 people and the search is on for four missing people. According to officials, rescue teams from Nowshera, Swabi and Mardan are taking part in the search operation. Divers are also busy searching for people.

Earlier, a road accident had occurred near the border town in Sindh and Balochistan province of Pakistan. The accident occurred when a bus full of pilgrims fell into a deep valley. At least 17 people have died and 38 people have been injured in this accident. The bus fell into a ditch when the pilgrims were on their way to the remote Muslim Sufi shrine of Shah Noorani in Khuzdar district of Balochistan. Home Minister Mohsin Naqvi has expressed grief over the incident.

Home Minister Mohsin Naqvi said the driver lost control at a turn, due to which the bus fell into a ditch. All the passengers were residents of Thatta city of Sindh province. The dead and injured were taken to Karachi Civil Hospital. The bodies have been identified, some of which belong to the same family.
