Terrorist attack again in Pakistan, 12 killed, DSP also included among the dead
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the troubled region of Pakistan, has once again been shaken by a major terrorist attack. Terrorist incidents are happening continuously here. Let us inform that in the last two days of terrorist incidents and security operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan province, six security personnel including a senior police officer and 12 terrorists have been killed. Officials gave this information on Monday. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Armed Forces, said four terrorists were killed in two incidents in Balochistan province.
ISPR said eight terrorists were killed during an operation conducted by security forces in Kot Sultan area of Kulachi tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). He said security forces have recovered arms, ammunition and explosives from the slain terrorists. A Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and two policemen were killed while a constable was injured in twin terrorist attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Lakki Marwat on Friday night, officials said. Officials said the DSP along with other police personnel had set up a temporary post on the Peshawar-Karachi highway to tighten security ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr festival.

According to a news report, when they were returning from the post, terrorists fired at a police vehicle near Manjiwala Chowk, killing the DSP and constable Naseem Gul. According to the information, the second attack took place in Sara Dargah area on Friday night, in which unknown assailants opened fire on constable Sanmat Khan, due to which he died on the spot. According to news reports, a police officer was killed and another injured in a blast in Mamund taluk of Bajaur district on Saturday. According to this, a head constable was killed by unknown people near Mian Lal police post in Tank district on Saturday night. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack on policemen in Lakki Marwat.
