Arvind Kejriwal News: The Delhi High Court has also rejected another PIL filed to remove jailed Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal from the post in the alleged excise duty policy scam case. Let us tell you that even before this the court had rejected the PIL to remove Kejriwal from the post.
A bench headed by Acting Chief Justice Manmohan said that the High Court cannot do all the work and it is not the job of the High Court. This is a matter of constitutional process.
The petition in this case was filed on behalf of Hindu Sena chief Vishnu Gupta. Petitioner’s lawyer Barun Sinha said that at present there is no government in Delhi. As a citizen of Delhi, I want a government of my choice. At present there is absence of government in Delhi, which is a constitutional crisis.
A bench of Acting Chief Justice Manmohan Singh and Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora of Delhi High Court heard the case and said that the court will not interfere in it. The High Court cannot do all the work and this is not the job of the High Court. You should go to the President or Lieutenant Governor for this.
The court said that how can we say that the government is not working. LG is competent to take a decision on this matter. They don’t need our advice. They will take action as per law. Only the Lieutenant Governor or the President is competent in this matter. The court refused to give any order in this matter. After which the petitioner said that he wants to withdraw it and will submit his petition to the Lieutenant Governor.
