Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Congress’ biggest problem is that all its accounts have been seized by the Income Tax Department and it is alleged that the money cannot be used for the party’s election campaign. Due to non-filing of income tax return, the party has to pay Rs. 3,567 crore notice has been received. However, now there are reports that after the Congress, two more political parties have also come under the radar of the Income Tax Department. The IT department is preparing to issue a notice to them soon. Both these parties against the co-operative banks Rs. An investigation is going on regarding the deposit of 380 crores. According to reports, the case is related to two local parties from Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. They are charged Rs. 380 crores and is accused of not filing his income tax return. According to reports, the Income Tax Department has started an investigation against both the parties and they will be issued notices soon.
It may be mentioned that earlier the Congress Party was issued a notice by the Income Tax Department on a tax issue of more than 1800 crores due to which there was a huge political controversy, although the Congress got a reprieve till the elections are over.
