Google Maps May Soon Help You Find Entry And Exit Of Buildings From Your Pixel Smartphones; What We Know So Far
Google Maps, a popular navigation app used by people across the globe, may soon get an enhancement that could improve your travel experience.
In a recent update, the company is testing a feature with select buildings (and users) to guide them to the entry and exit of these sites once they are selected, according to Android Police.
The news outlet spotted the feature in testing in Google Pixel 7a in Maps version “11.17.0101”. This new feature stirs to action once the place is selected and is adequately zoomed in by a user on a smartphone.
The entry icons appear in a round green arrow format within a white circle to depict entry points in a building.
It seems the testing is highly restricted at the moment as it was not available on other models running the latest version of Google Maps across different regions.
The news outlet also noted that for better demarcation, the building area on the Maps is marked in red in a few cases. The entry icons were present at select testing locations in places of New York City, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Berlin.
