Skoda Kodiaq SUV Price Slashed: Streamlines To L&K Variant In India
This revision comes with a significant price adjustment, making the Kodiaq more accessible to potential buyers without compromising on its feature set. The Skoda Kodiaq L&K, which was originally tagged at Rs 41.99 lakh (ex-showroom), has seen a price reduction of Rs 2 lakh, bringing it down to Rs 39.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
This adjustment makes the range-topping Kodiaq L&K more competitively priced in the market. It’s important to note that this is the only change made to the SUV, with no alterations in its mechanical or feature specifications.
The Kodiaq continues to sport a powerful 190bhp, 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, delivering power to all four wheels. Standing as Skoda’s flagship offering in India, the Kodiaq competes with the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, Hyundai Tucson, and MG Gloster.
Looking towards the future, Skoda is gearing up to expand its portfolio with the introduction of a new compact SUV. Targeting the competitive sub-4-metre segment, this vehicle will take on established players such as the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Tata Nexon.
A recent spotting of the test model has offered a glimpse into its design direction, highlighting its readiness for a highly anticipated launch. Powered by a 115hp, 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine, the upcoming SUV promises to deliver on performance and efficiency.
Set to be based on the MQB-A0-IN platform, similar to the Kushaq, this new entry-level offering from Skoda is expected to hit the market by March 2025. With an estimated price range of Rs 9 lakh to Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom), it aims to compete effectively in its segment.
Moreover, Skoda plans to export this model to various international markets, including South America, Southeast Asia, and Africa, underscoring its global appeal.
As Skoda continues to refine its vehicle lineup in India, the brand’s commitment to offering quality and value to its customers remains evident. With Kodiaq’s price revision and the exciting prospect of a new compact SUV, Skoda is poised to strengthen its position in the Indian automobile market.
