IGNOU extends January 2024 admission deadline till March 31

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has once again extended the deadline for fresh admissions for the January 2024 academic year.

Interested candidates now have until March 31 to apply for various programmes offered by IGNOU through online distance learning and online mode.

The application deadline was initially set for February 29, then extended to March 10, further extended to March 20, and now re-extended to March 31.

Eligible students can also apply for government scholarships on the national scholarship portal after confirmation of admission.

HOW TO REGISTER

To register for the IGNOU January 2024 programmes, candidates need to follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Visit the official website – ignou.ac.in

Step 2: Click on ‘Register Online’ followed by ‘Fresh Admissions’

Step 3: Click on the ‘New Registrations’ tab

Step 4: Fill in all the required registration details

Step 5: Log in using the received login details and fill in all other required information

Step 6: Select the desired programme and submit the application

Step 7: Save the page for future reference

DOCUMENTS NEEDED TO REGISTER

Before applying, candidates should ensure they have the following documents ready:

Scanned photograph and signature (each less than 100 KB)
Scanned copy of relevant educational qualification (less than 200 KB)
Copy of experience certificate (if any) (less than 200 KB)
Scanned copy of category certificate, if SC/ST/OBC (less than 200 KB)
IGNOU has provided this additional time to accommodate more applicants who wish to enrol for the January 2024 session. Interested candidates are encouraged to make use of this extended deadline to secure their admissions and pursue their desired programmes at IGNOU.
