One has to simply store the food in the fridge without being worried about the food going bad or giving any unfriendly odour. The whole idea of refrigerators is to reduce the heat from the food by lowering its temperature and increasing its longevity. While most food items are safe to be stored in the refrigerator, some food items in particular become toxic after being stored in the refrigerator. One must always avoid storing them in the fridge. Here is a list of foods that shouldn’t be stored in the refrigerator.
* Onions
Most people have a casual habit of throwing their onions and tomatoes in the refrigerator. Onions are naturally resistant to the low temperatures present in the refrigerator. The starch that is present in the onions starts converting itself into sugar in the refrigerator. This makes onions more susceptible to catching moulds. Another common habit that people have is cutting onions in half and then storing the rest of the parts in a bowl in the refrigerator.
