19 bodies recovered 6 days after bus accident, no trace of both buses till now
Kathmandu, July 17 (HS). Even after 6 days of the two bus accidents last Friday, only 19 bodies have been recovered so far. Out of these, 14 bodies have been identified. Bodies of two women have also been recovered among the dead.
On Wednesday, the rescue team released the list of the dead whose bodies have been recovered. Out of the 65 passengers travelling in the two buses, the bodies of 19 people have been recovered till 8 pm on Wednesday. So far only 14 bodies have been identified. Among these, the bodies of two women have also been reported.
No clue has been found so far about the two buses that crashed. Nepal’s rescue team is trying its best but is failing due to the fast flow of water and flood water. Every effort is being made to find both the buses and the bodies with the help of divers, water drones and sonar cameras. Search work is also being done with the help of big magnets and sensor lights.
Nepal had sought help from India to find the buses. India’s disaster management technical team will soon reach Nepal and help the Nepali team. DIG Purushottam Thapa of the Armed Police Force, who is leading the Nepali rescue operation team, said that after the arrival of India’s technical team, there is hope of finding clues about the buses.
